Children ages 9 and up may be asked to return for the Audition at 1:00pm.

NOTE: If the dancer has a year or more experience dancing on pointe, they should bring their pointe shoes to the audition.

Children 12 and up with more than a year of experience dancing on pointe may be asked to return for the Company Audition at 3:30pm.

In order to attend this audition you must have been a member of the MVPA Company in 2023-24 or received an invitation to attend by the Artistic Director in an earlier audition.

This includes a $20 non-refundable audition fee, costume restoration, insurance, administrative costs, make-up kits and the cast party gift. The MVPA board decided it was beneficial to collect the fee online in one sum to alleviate multiple deadlines of fees. If your child does not receive a role, you will be refunded $100 of the production fee.

All non-company members will be provided all necessary hair and makeup kits labeled for each individual child and will be at the Stanley Theater for performance week.

For new participants, examples of non-company dancers includes: cherubs, mice, rats, soldiers, cadets, rosebuds, party boys, snowflakes, bon bons, etc.
