Nutcracker School Performance

November 29, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

$6

Mohawk Valley Performing Arts believes in making the arts accessible to children. We believe in giving all students the opportunity to be exposed to the arts. The Nutcracker has two days worth of performances specifically dedicated to students.

This is the perfect occasion to allow students to get up close and personal with ballet giving them an experience of a lifetime.

The story and history of the Nutcracker Ballet is one that aids easily to literature and history lessons. With Common Core, the Nutcracker is an excellent way to touch upon the integration of knowledge and ideas; literature standards. Lessons and standards will be uploaded shortly for various grade levels.

Chris Bord

The MVPA Board of Directors, students, and families, were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Chris Bord yesterday. Chris has been a fixture in the community arts scene and a part of MVPA productions for many years as our Technical Director and Lighting Designer. However, his contributions went above and beyond those titles. He was truly an artistic partner in creating the ambience and atmosphere at every show. He cared about the full picture, and was invested in bringing the best out in every performance. We relied on his knowledge, artistic and technical insight, and willingness to help at every turn and his presence will be sorely missed. We offer our condolences and prayers to his friends and family and we thank you Chris for all that you gave us.
